Last weekend I put on a set of new Jardines and did the triple K&N mod(both went rather smoothly much to my suprise) on my 2009 R3T. I'm a little worried seeing as I have several years left on my warranty. I did ask the dealer and they said that air filters and pipes probably won't do any damage that will cause warranty issues...famous last words. Anyway, Wayne from Power-Tripp(God bless him) just sent me a generic tune for my set up and as soon as I get home I'm going to install it. I have read the TuneECU thread numerous times but I'm still a little apprehensive. Any comments? I will be taking her to get Dynoed this Saturday so if all goes well I won't get any speeding tickets this Sunday.

You shouldn't have any problems at all. I'm running the same set up, complete with a Power-Tripp tune, albeit a Tuneboy tune instead of TuneECU. Just make sure your battery is fully charged before starting the load process, and pull the headlight fuse to keep it that way.

The tune I got from Wayne ran right at 13:1 with a very smooth dyno line. I'm sure you'll be quite pleased.

Or buy the Eastern Beaver H-4 relay kit with LO-Beam cut-out and just toggle the lights off while tuning.:D

I have the EB kit already installed. I did remove the fuse though and the little light in the head lamp did stay on while I performed the install. Yahoo! she seemed to behave just as I wanted her to. The Jardines are just a bit louder in fact my wife came out to the garage and said "I can hear you got it running" I'm not sure if that was a positive or negative acknowledgement. Didn't ride her as it was extremely cold here it was down to at least 45 degrees when I finished and was dark. Tonight is the real test I'll keep ya'll informed. Thanks for everyone's help, patience and assistance since I would never had done this with out the support...well maybe I still would have.

I haven't went the triple K&N route yet, but I do like my Jardines. I might order the "quiet" baffles from them soon though as I have quite a few miles on mine, and I think they are louder now than they used to be!.. lol Still sounds awesome though!

Just one question. Are you taking it to the dyno to see where you are after installing Wayne's tune? Or are you taking it to the dyno to get your set up dialed in? The reason I ask is because most dyno shops are set up to make adjustments on a DynoJet PowerCommander III or V. Most will not be familiar with TuneECU software.

I'm taking her (cream Puff) in to have the tune tweaked a bit. The individual I chose does install Power Commanders etc. and does a lot of work on those V twins and your right does not know TuneECU. Wayne at power trip thinks that he should have no problem familiarizing himself with he software since he already uses programs very similar. When we spoke a few times(Duane at D&D)he asked me about the TuneECU and was going to download it study up on it. Check him out at D and D cycle performance in San Marcos. He does not use a dynajet but rather a SuperFlow Dynamometer with all the current updates. I am pretty sure that this is the same machine that Power-Tripp uses but don't quote me on that. I'm really looking forward to this :) Thanks!

In San Marcos? So you must be fairly close by.. lol I've had some dyno tuning on mine and am pretty happy with it right now. I run Jardines and a PC-III. But I do toy with the idea of going to the triple K&N's from time to time. Will have to check them out.. :)

San Marcos CA basically a small city 30 miles north of downtown San Diego. Yes I would definitely have patronized Wayne at Power-Tripp he is a real stand up guy and I can't praise him enough but San Diego to Alabama...I don't get that much time off from either of my 2 jobs.

Thanks for working two jobs. I am approaching retirement age, your contributions are graciously acknowledged.
