Idiots can't back up

I was referring to the bearings/forks and your comment to inspect it and ride it. I was positing that while there may be no physical damage, there may be some psychological impact. While no damage may be found and it operates properly for the time being, he wouldn't ever be able to trust those parts again.

While it may be no big deal to you, his comment leads me to believe it is of some significance to him.
 
I ride it home. No wobbles, no noises, no weaving. Brake checked hard enough to activate front abs with no issue. Should be fine, thankfully everything on the Rocket is bigger than normal so it's strong.

BUT I'm still going to tax his insurance for at least: New fender, new forks, new triple trees, new wheel bearings, new headstock bearing and new rock guards.

As far as being in a blind spot. Yes I kind of was BUT his truck has a backup camera and parking assist. He was distracted by the chicken head in the passenger seat.

The one and only reason it didn't get physical... on post and in uniform, had it been anywhere else the ****ing 2nd lieutenant would have learned a whole new level of ****ing furious NCO.
 
That's going to be one pricy claim. Good thing he admitted fault. I got backed into once in my car in a parking lot.... police said they don't assign fault on private property.... my insurance settled for 80%. Needless to say I'm no longer with that company.
 
Lesson for everyone.

I have full coverage of every type, with $15K of accessories included.

They WONT cover my helmet which was sitting on top of the gauge area and fell into rocks. If I were wearing it they will, but because I wasn't wearing it, it's not covered... Retarded!

As soon as this is done I'm switching companies.

It wasn't so much as scratched, but it'd be another $750 I could make his company pay out lol.
 
At least the driver did it when you weren't on it, but it wouldn't make me feel better either.

Today's pickups are massive, being the owner of a Tundra Crewmax. The family complains about where I park, but even with a cool backup camera integrated in the dash I'm still anxious about being close to other vehicles.
 
Agreed they are big as hell, thing is, we passed each other as he was climbing into his truck. Had he not been busy trying to get laid by the cadet he was with he would have noticed all this.
