I want a Rocket 3 that doesn't exist!

Ok, so a r3t is the better starter platform.
Well now then we at least have a starting point.
Now you are telling me you can add 50hp to a touring bike just by changing the tune? That just seems crazy to me.

So, next up is the gauges. Will roadster gauges work on a touring bike? I would assume that it would be a different wiring harness. I mean does a touring even have a tach?
Does it need a different ecm too?

Not going to run a batwing fairing. No way. 2 headlights are a must, so road glide fairing it is I guess. Custom brackets for that I suppose?
Guess we are getting closer...

The only 2 style hard bags I like are the triumph touring bags or the harley ones. I like the look of the extended ones too. More room for more stuff!

I don't know how many HP you can add-depends on your exhaust, intake, and engine mods-but there is no difference between the touring and roadster engines or trannies. They have unrestricted the new roadster tunes by opening the secondaries, which are ridiculously closed down in the tourings. If you could get into the touring tune with TuneECU you could fix that easily. I know you can do that on the older touring models without screwing up the ECM but not sure if that applies to the new ones. The new Tourings come with ABS which is computer-controlled - I don't see how you can just add it.

You can mount any bags you can find. For example, Road King Classics:

For tuning, you don't need a different ECM. I have no idea about all the sensors on the two models.

I would assume that there is a lead on the harness from the ecm for the tach at the very least. I would think that the lead is not on the r3t ecm. I could be mistaken however.

of all the modded bike lonzol' bike is still by far the meanest baddest looking ride of them all

not having any luck on researching moving the gauges either
anyone have any links?
Have never heard of anyone doing this. You can surely get what you want starting with a Roadster. Also, you could start with a Touring, which is as nice as a RK, and change the headlights if you want 2.
