I must be getting soft

Like the Johny rebs they are made by Thomas Cook Footwear so any dealer that stocks them should be able to get, I bought mine while up at Bundaberg when we stayed with Marty and Cathy Hervey Bay we went over to visit Ann's Step Mum and Marty and Cathy showed us the sights and the shop "Everything But The Bike" they have a website shop I forget exactly how much but they were not cheap but fit great and have a zipper on the inner side to make it easy getting in them with my big land anchors that and I have a high instep which prevents me getting into a lot of boots :D

here's a link it appears you can buy on line directly Johnny Reb Rogue Boot : JR18117 : Motorcycle Mens - Thomas Cook Boot & Clothing Co.

Just bought a pair of old stock johny rebs $170 nice and comfortable thanks again hans

When it comes to boots pay good money for the best and you'll be happy. The boots I wear were taylor made buy Medal Shoes in Gertrude st Fitzroy in 1985. Thats 28 years and a bit under 300 thousand klm. Keep them oiled with leather dressing and there still waterproof for the first day of wet riding. I'm hopeing they will last another 20 years but I'm thinking there going to wear through the top of the toe from changing gear. Amate tried to get a pair made a few years ago but the old boot maker that was Medal Shoes has apparently passed away. Don't see boots like mine in Q.L.D. but they were common in Melbourne.

Medal shoes is still there. As a matter of fact I'm parked right in front of the old shop as I type this on my phone. The soon had moved to the rear entrance which is just off the land way 2 doors up.

I use Altberg boots. Get your feet measured and email them. They'll build you the boots and mail anywhere in the world. Bloody comfortable, warm in winter not too hot in summer and have a 7 day soak guarantee. Means you can soak them in a bath for a week and no water gets in.

Altberg boots ran runner-up in the UK Bike magazines test of best bike boots. They were right behind the DAYTONAS that I wear ;)

I wear Redwing Lace up steel toed boots. Only place I can think of that actually measures your foot and makes sure you get the correct size. They come in all shapes and sizes...some waterproof, some not. My wife described to me getting a slip off boot off a guys foot in the emergency room that did an emergency get off and broke his ankle in the process...I've worn lace ups ever since
