I must be getting soft

Oh man I always have worn gloves. A humans natural instinct is to place the hands flat on the road surface during a fall...... ewwww that can't be good.

I only wear my summer gloves on long trips unless it is cold of course.
But almost never wear them on short trips, just such a bother getting them on and off.

If you lived here you'd be wearing gloves these sub-zero mornings!
I used to ride sometimes without gloves in summer, until a flicked up stone near broke my knuckle.

Got me a pair of boots from Redwing. They have a coated wire instead of laces and a wheel that you just ratchet up to your favorite tightness. Just pop up the wheel and the entire lacing loosens when taking off. Only available in brown though. Love 'em.

Peter, you're not turning into a softie at all. You are simply becoming more prudent in your old age!

I have the Sidi Canyon goretex boots. Pricey, but very good quality. Not too bad to walk in off the bike. In my third year with them.
