I have my flame suit on.....

yeah it wasn't the biggest bike around and he's 6'3.

The bike was so unreliable that he eventually got a full refund - bike was 14 months old

MV Agustas are like supermodels. Beautiful to look at, but very high maintenance.

If I had unlimited funds I would certainly seek to have one of each.

I skimmed through so maybe I missed it. Has anybody brought up the MST that's been creeping around waiting to be made for the last couple years?

The photos that leaked of the unfaired prototype looked absolutely fantastic and apparently it sounds like hell and has gobs of power.

If I were filling my penny jar with a sport tourer in mind, it'd be that one (if they are ever actually available).

Good friend of mine has one..Lots of problems with it..2 water pumps..switch gear..noisy and snatchy trans and pulls to the right
Shame because it goes like feck not the kind of bike to own when the warranty is out

RJ

Though its no solace to your friend, Im sure that's not indicative of most of the bikes they have sold.

I traded my original R3T toward a K1600GTL in 2011. That was probably the biggest trade mistake I've ever made.

I thought the K1600 would be a do-all type of touring / sport touring bike.

It was really quite tame, it was top heavy, and parts were expensive and scarce.

I rode the K1600 for about 8 months, and then traded it for a K1300S (my third of that model).

When I would return from rides on the K1600, my impression was "what great onboard storage, what wonderful weather protection, what cool high tech gadgets." I had the same general feelings when I used to return from rides on my original ST1100.

I missed the R3T, so I bought a duplicate 3 months after trading away the K1600. I owned the K1600 and an FJR 1300 concurrently, and I have to admit, I preferred the FJR. It was just as snappy, quite a bit lighter, and in my opinion, more nimble.

I talked to a guy today who owns and has owned about every bike you can think of. He currently owns 7 bikes and he often rides 500+ miles days.
I asked if he could only have 1 bike he said it would be the k1600 gl or whatever. He said his fjr 1300 is right up there if hes riding solo. He loves his 1300s also.
Now this is a guy who rides from Chicago to Memphis just to have lunch at the drop of a hat. He says the k1600 is the most comfortable for long trips while still having all the conveniences and comforts and still having some performance and handling.
That's basically what he told me.
As much as id like to like the beemer, its looks just don't turn me on. The salesman invited me to ride it anytime I wanted and he said when I do to ride it for a few hours.
Nice. The Honda dealer said they have no f6b for me to test drive but I was welcome to ride a used full dresser (or whatever you call it). Its a different bike so I passed.

The only one I know of locally - was traded back for the old R series BMW he'd traded in for the K after about 2 months. Owner said - too fussy for a daily rider. There are other (imo better) Big euro style tourers.

As for the Honda - If you want a Wing - buy one - a complete one.

If you want something that looks like a posing HD bagger - buy a posing HD bagger.

I didn't say I was buying anything.
Cars, bikes, and offroad trucks are my hobby and I indulge in my hobbies.
If I wanted a "complete" Goldwing or a Harley bagger I would buy them but I have no interest in a complete wing or a Harley. Nice bikes but they don't really appeal to me.
Im just talking bikes man......
