handlebar options?

I replaced mine with Kuryakyn Iso grips, You lose the end weights, but i don't think you need them, if you do get some vibration, you can always fill the bar with shot. You'll also need to sand the "Nubbies" off the throttle sleeve.
 
On mine I kept the stock grips and used the ThrottleMeister for end weights and to eliminate any vibration. They worked out very well.

No, when I did mine the classic bars were not available and also, I wanted

mine to be more swept back anyway.
 
I plan to install Hot Grips on my bike before winter down ere in Oz ,so its a choice that has to be taken carefully.The valk bars sound good from what is being said.Can you do it without the Rivco risers?

Keep in mind that the Rocket 'bars are 1", so the choices are virtually limitless. Given the spread of the stockers, you'd have to make a fairly radical change before new cables et al are needed.

excellent owl !! you forgot gauges! it all looks great. what do ya'll think? good huh? bigger bars really fit r3 look. gauge replacement is killer look.---john clean-sweet look --it costs a little ta play w/ that look. --cough up tha cheese boys!! --or stay w/ da stock crowd!!
 
Keep in mind too, once you've decided to do something different with the gauges, you really open up 'bar options. Near as I can tell, the Rocket has the same 100mm center to center distance on the risers that Honda and Yamaha do. This means there are many, many, T-Bar options available in the $110 to $180 range.

Has anybody measured Rocket riser bolt size and compared them to Honda, or Harley for that matter? If bolt/stud sizes are compatible that greatly expands the riser possibilities.
