GT forward pegs to mid point

Rocket 3 gt, you move between 3 positions in horizontal line, front of the engine, notice from the T triumph logo forward.

Rocket 3 r, it is higher and rearward, behind the logo... not sure about adjustability...

Is that the same position as the replacement mids kit would mount I.e. you end up with the same positioning as if you paid for the kit? In which case, I don’t understand why so many people would pay about £900 to achieve the same?
NO. The mid kit will move it further back to where the R version is mounted. What I did moves the pegs back about one inch and it's free. There are 3 sets of holes on the rail on the GT so allow the pegs to be repositioned, and that costs nothing. The mids requires different rear brake line hose, shifter link, and brackets and other bits and bobs to place the pegs where the R version has them and the stock bits of the GT are then discarded.

That's what I thought, otherwise there would be no requirement for the mids kit. Thanks anyway Atomsplitter, but I want my pegs as far back as they'll go, so I'll need to pull my pants down at Triumph 😕

Yeah, if you really need the pegs that far back then spend the extra dosh. I just needed a little more bend in my knee so this option was perfect. One other note, when you get the bike you'll want to set the suspension up for you solo. If you put the spouse in the pillion, just crank the rear preload to max and you're set to go. When she's not tickling your ribs down the country lanes, dial the rear preload back to where solo is comfy. The preload adjuster is easy to get to and adjust.

I wonder if anyone has considered just getting a set of mid control pegs and putting them on as an alternative riding position. Just thinking out of the box here. I know, no. brakes and shifter. but who cares. I like my GT riding position, but if you wanted to maneuver around on the seat or have a more sport riding position why not. We put highway pegs on bikes to get our feet forward, why not have a second set of pegs back to get you feet under your legs. Even better if you could flip them down if you wanted them. Seems logical to me without locking in the mid controls and all the work that goes with it. That might be a project idea...🙄
