Ride
2014 Victory Vision Tour
Dropped a new battery in The Hag and we set off on a nice loop ride yesterday. Perfect weather. Started on the Parkway in Batcave and rode through to Soco Gap wnd dropped into Maggie for lunch. Rode out the backwoods and back down 23 into Asheville and home. Lori commented that I had the R3 down on the floorboards three times and that two up with a Dark Side Came back into Hendersonville for the end of The Meltdown. Lots and lots of bikes and a lot of our brand. Only one Rocket

Its my backyard now and I am very thankful for my current residence. I took the T Bird out this afternoon and ran back up through 74 and onto the Parkway again. Stayed on until the Arboretum exit, then along the French Broad ( a river y'all) and then for some ton up on I 26. I am a fortunate son.

I do need to go see an orthopaedic specialist though. The continued degeneration of my knees is now causing me quite a bit of pain and it sounds like I am stepping on corn flakes when I walk. After riding it really hurts a lot. Now I have two Triumphs and almost no knees

Bad knees are an Electricians curse......

I have done a plenty in my life to destroy the knees. Underground mine electrician in very low coal.seams where we crawled on hands and of course knees, utility lineman climbing poles on "hooks", kick starting vintage Bonnevilles qnd climbing ladders for way too long a time. There have been a few double knee replacements in our family and that is what I fear.

***ced knees are caused by .............. too many birthdays. Due to get the second one replaced sometime this year.. can't wait

Sorry to hear it Tomcat. It will be 58 in October for me. As soon as I can find someone to hire me with insurance I will get them looked at.

Do you have greater mobility and less pain in the first artificial knee ?

Can't speak for the knees gents as I continue a pain management program for those, at age 60 jury is still out as to what direction to go. I did have both hips replaced this past year, two separate surgery's, should have had it done 5 years ago, as of now pain free. Memories of the physical therapy are permanently etched in my feeble mind. I shall consider the total knee replacement this up coming winter once snow is on the ground and The Beast is in hibernation! Everyone I have ever talked to about the knees say they wished they had done it sooner. People often ask if I wish I were 20 again, not me brothers, I like where I am at just fine. Grandchildren and sampling of fine adult beverages and being able to roll out of the garage on two wheels anytime suits me just fine!
