It's nice to be able to mount the camera near the engine with good forward view.

Engine noise adds atmosphere, whereas winds noise can irritate.

I have three gopros and have them mounted everywhere:D go to bestbuy or even wallyworld and pick up the gopro mounting kit bag cost about $20.00 you will be able to mount it where you want.

I have two of them as well, those mounting kit bags are great. I also purchased the handlebar mount this way I can easily mount it to the highway bars as well, $20 as well, cheaper than the ram mount in cost not quality. I love these cameras. Outstanding piece of kit.

back on topic, go pro works fine anywhere you can mount it where it wont fall off.

If you dont tell the camera where it is it'll just work as though it doesnt know??????:D

You can even install it upside down and within the settings you can set the orientation of the camera so it records the video right Side up., possibilities are endless.

Have mine on a RAM mount on the rift hand side of my handlebars; have fitted an extension so that the screen doesn't get in the shot. Works just fine with no vibration apparent even when the camera is set up to take stills instead of video.

Has anyone tried the suction cup mount? Just wondering how well it holds at 100mph? I've also been told there's a rear helmet mount that with an extension arm to go up and over the top of the helmet, but can't find one anywhere.
I'm in the same boat with the helmet: Scala on the left, modular shark and ride with it back most of the time so center/top of helmet won't work, and I really want it to be able to look around and catch the mountains and valleys I see, rather than just straight ahead via a bike mount.

I can not find a rear helmet mount either. Seems that would be best for a helmet.

Will the handlebar mount work on the "crash" bars or do you need the roll bar mount?
