Hi,

For any of you that have not yet installed a GI PRO my words of advice are JUST DO IT!!!!!

I fitted mine at the weekend (it took longer finding a switched live feed than installing the GI PRO) and am amazed at the difference it had made to the bike. Save you pennies and buy one now...

P.S. I have no financial gain in making these comments.

It is good to see that you have had good results.

I am not meaning to rain on your parade. I am GiPro dealer, but other than as a gear indicator, it doesn't do anything that an inexpensive cable and TuneECU cannot do for less cost. And TuneECU does far more.
;)

The Gi-Pro didn't do squat for my R3T, but it is a good gear indicator. But it's darn pricey just for a gear indicator.

It works great and does wonders for the bike, and it's perfect for those of us who don't want to go spelunking around in our ECM's if we don't have to. I like the idea and practicality of being able to unplug the Pro and PCIII, having it go right back to stock. The next owner has nothing to worry about and it goes hand in hand with power commander tuning equipment. It's been discussed over and over again here how difficult it is to get a dyno tune done without Power Commander. Downloading and using someone else's tune is not the best way to get the optimum efficiency from your engine. Plus try to explain what "you did" to the bike if it has to go in the shop, first thing a tech will do is download the stock tune back in it to rule that out as a problem. But to each his own, I love mine. I can push a button in bad weather anytime to have reduced power in low gears for safety, hard to plug a laptop into the bike in a downpour.

CWcobra i fitted gipro to my 2010 r3t and it transformed the bike. Not trying to have a go at you mate just wonder if yours is working correctly as i just dont see how you would think its made no difference to how she performs in the first 3 gears if it was working ok. It just may be worth checking it out as you could be missing out on a lot of go for your dollar. :).

Good question...maybe it's not working correctly...how could anyone know for sure???
Gear indicator works fine. When I first installed the unit, I set it to mode #3, but there was an objectionable amount of surging at part throttle. So I re-set it to mode #2, and it runs fine now. Smooth, but no more impressive than stock. Regardless, it's still plenty fast. If I really want to go fast, I just ride the Hayabusa.

Then something ain't right somewhere.
I KNOW mine ran ok before,
but now it'll wheelie or burn the back tire off and try to go side ways if I'm not real careful.
I've learned to manage it, but there's a significant difference from before.
No B.S. something ain't right.
I'd take it off and start from scratch again, you should feel a real improvement over stock.
