fuel management controler questions

Is the Dobeck AFR plus available now for the Rocket 3 Touring?
I am interested, also how do I get those discounts?

Hi Macrider,

I imagine they can make it for any EFI motorcycle. They made my set up in less than a day for me when I showed up at their facility one Saturday last month. I was just going to drop off the bike for them to experiment with it for a couple of weeks. They very nicely decided they could do in the 2 day weekend so they invited me to stay and to watch and help. We worked on it most of the day Saturday and about half the day Sunday. It was really fun. Especially the test rides.

You can call them directly. They have a toll free 877 number. Just Google Dobeck Performance in Belgrade, MT. When you call ask to speak to Dillon and tell him Bill from Nampa, Idaho told you to call.

They have several discount programs, so talk it through with Dillon. I would have qualified for the military discount and the forum discount, but since they had not made a unit for the Rocket yet (at that time) I got mine on a very special plan.

Dobeck system

Idaho, I would like to get the Dobeck AFR plus.
The fact that you live close to Dobeck and can contact them ,perhaps they would consider a group buy?
I am a little too far away to set up something like this, but maybe you could ask?
Maybe get a few of us here together and get a big discount that way?
If I could get a Dobeck AFR plus for around $250 I would be in.

One thing I don't get about these auto tune options is the amount of intervention required by the user. Getting a power commander tuned once seems to work fine.

Dobeck system

In post # 6 Idaho said that it is also "set and forget" but it also has the option of getting manually adjusted if you want.
Nothing wrong with that, right?

Sure Mac I can ask them about a group buy discount.

I just put on 1 of my TOR pipes to open up the sound a little. One alone makes it pretty loud but with a nice growl. No problem...just a little adjustment. No decell pop at all. Stock pipe or TOR pipe.

I think what is to like about this system is it's versatility and no need for computers, cables and dyno tuners. It is a DIY system. Simple enough for the average back yard mechanic to handle. Then the infinite adjustments as you please. Change your exhaust...no problem...adjust as needed. Change the air intake...no problem...adjust as needed. And so on. For some of us this is the preferred method. Nothing wrong with this concept.
