Don't waste your money. Use your tripometer to figure your mileage and to keep up with gas consumption.
 
Please note that the printed face of the fuel gage does not have any markings to indicate the amount of fuel remaining - there is only an uncalibrated scale. On mine, when the indicator needle is half-way down the scale there has actually been only 1/4 tank of fuel consumed. On mine, when the indicator needle goes in to the red zone (suggesting near empty) - there is actually near a half tank of fuel remaining. In summary, my fuel gage definately communicates some information - I'm just not sure what it means, or how important it is.

If there is some way to calibrate the fuel gage to provide more useful readings, I'd like to hear about it.
