Found these in my gas tank.....

You guys are the best! I could not find ‘em on the exploded diagram of the gas tank so I knew they had to be something added by previous owner. I suspected it was some type of gasoline additive and you have confirmed it. My rocket just lost 5 pounds!

As suppositories, I think they’d rate up there with gerbils of course you’d have to ask Richard Gere to be sure...

It is actually rather interesting technology. It stems from WW2 Russian military Aircraft.

Used them in my E-Type and reduced engine temp's dramatically.
Reduced emissions in the Diesel LandRover a bit. But I messed the doodad up by running on Sunflower Oil for a while.

Pointless in a modern Engine and with generally good modern fuels. Needs to be in a steel tank to work. Or you need a steel mesh around the plastic one.
 
Yeah I don’t think it does much, the bsa had it in the tank when I bought it, the guy I bought the bike from claims it made a difference in the performance. Having said that, the motor was so worn I don’t know how he could tell.

If they will make my bike look as good as your BSA, i’ll throw them back in!
