Hello Eardison...welcome to the forum. Don't recall anyone posting anything about forward controls, but there's plenty of examples of rear controls.

You're gonna' like them Rivco bars...nice and stout.

Standard seat with backrest isn't so bad...most comfort will be gained with sheepskin seat cover, I'm sure.

So, tell us about your new ride... 8)

Welcome aboard. At 6'3" I agree about the leg cramps. You'll just hafta fabricate something yourself for forward controls. Nothing aftermarket as of now. The "Classic" floor boards may give ya a little more relief. As for the seat, I just got the sheepskin. It is comfy and warm in the winter. And gits me up enough to see over the 25" Clearview screen.

I think a big guy 'gldean' had his seat redone and it solved both problems.

Eardison: Before you buy one, because they are, (only in my opinion) worth the money but they are expensive but last the life of the bike, see if you know someone to borrow just to see if it fits you, a Corbin seat. For a taller person it will sit you back further in the seat and also down a little lower. Welcome aboard.

My shot at it and still working out. Might go for another inch one day. There are no real easy answers, just get an idea and go for it. Maybe Flip will add to his bucket of stuff one day just don't ask, I want him to fab the chin spoiler first :D

Thanks for all of the replies... man, I thought for sure I'd find alternative peg configurations! Oh well.. I'll get the HW pegs on and see what happens.

Native one - I have looked at different seat models in an attempt to see where it would sit me on the bike. I noticed a corbin seat -looks- like it would sit back further... Hmmm... I think thats what is causing me to go numb now, pressure just below and to the sides of my tailbone caused from me sitting further back than what's intended...

Anyone in the tampa area wanna let me use thier corbin seat for a couple of hours??? Hmmm???? Doubt that will work... Maybe I can find a preowned seat.. hmm...

As for the bike, it's a 05 with 4200 miles.. I just put 400 miles on it since I've had it. Nearly everything is stock except for a Scorpio alarm I installed last week.. Works great!

Hey Eardison....I've got long legs and have been looking into this problem for a while. I am sourcing a second hand set of footbegs rails that I can cut and reweld. I will be trying to move the footpegs 2" further forward. It will require a new brake line to the rear brake and an extended gear linkage, but I reckon it will make the bike much more comfortable for me. It might alter the seating position enough to solve the seat comfort issue for you.
I actually like the stock seat.
As soon as I get a set of rails and have done the job, I'll post it up.
