Got my tachometer installed yesterday at Gulf Coast Motorcycles in Ft. Myers, FL. It's a KOSO, with a water temp function as well. Fits beautifully and except for the mount to the bars being a little flimsy - I couldn't be happier. It was a lengthy install (3.5 hours), mostly related to the water temp function. It looks very good and the rev counter is dead steady at speed.

Dealer also updated my TORS tune with the latest one from the factory (he said they just received 90-some new tunes). I can't tell yet the difference on the tune, but it seemed to smooth out the low speed throttle response some (not so "on-off" as it had been), provide a little better roll-on power between 60 - 100. Also, it's too soon to tell but there might be a small uptick in fuel economy.

All in all - very happy with the day's events.

Kerry, how is this Tach holding up after you got it? I saw your post awhile back here and thanks for reminding me on FB about it.

Sorry I missed your question the first time around.

The tach and the install are both holding up fine. I haven't had any problem with either, although every once in a while, when at idle, the tach will zoom up to about 3,200 from the idle indication, and then settle back down. It never happens off of idle and I think it's probably some sort of electrical anomaly. Aside from that, functionality is perfect and the water temp gauge is a real plus, especially in our hot-hot-hot South Florida summers.

And while the bracket initially looked a little flimsy, it has held up fine, with just an occasional tightening.

Where did he tap into for the pulse reading for the tach?

I wish I could tell you. As I've gotten older I've grown less and less mechanically inclined. I'm sorry to say that I wasn't even there when the installation was done. But I'm sending my friend an e-mail and will try to find out the answer to your question.

Thank you I want one but not sure where to hook in still waiting on my obd11 wireless to get here been in Chicago for 3 days according to the tracking
