i would would think that at 100% it would still run that test.
 
Even if you remove the secondaries you have to make sure that the secondary TPS setting is correct and that it is installed correctly otherwise it will throw a code.

I went to the Triumph shop today and gave the mechanic a copy of your post. He said that he did clear the code and rode the bike about 15 miles and the light did not come back on yet. I told them that it went on and then off 15 miles later and then it did not come on again until about 40 more miles and then came on again and stayed on for another 40 miles until I dropped it at his shop.it was still on when I dropped it at the shop. He is thinking that if they give me the bike back right now it will probably come on again. He thinks the best thing that could happen is that Triumph will warranty it and give me a whole new throttle body. If they don't I can ride it and see if it comes on again. He thinks they will warranty it but I won't know until next week some time.
 
sounds like he knows what he is talking about i agree.
if u decide to ride while waiting for the throttle body i would drive it normal and not get after it especially if the light comes on.
if it is under warranty should not be a problem. good luck
if not then we can do something different.
i will be away for the weekend.
 

I am just leaving it at the shop until a decision is made about the warranty. If for some reason the warrantee won't cover it I'll have to decide what to do next. Thanks for your help so far.
 
Why does it take so many days to get an OK? The shop can't even order the parts until it gets an OK. The OK can take 3 days to 10 days for an answer, after that it will take at least 3 more days to get the parts, after that the work will start which is bound to take at least 2 or 3 days. I am not normally a patient man but its completely out of my control so all I can do is SNIVEL, lol. In a way its a good thing because its out of the garage along with my 1938 Buick which went to a paint shop today. With just two bikes left I have no excuse but to start organizing the garage a little better. As far as the Rocket goes you guys on here have me not worried very much. All so far think it will be warrantied and many seem to understand the problem technically so that if there is a warranty problem I still think I'll get the help to fix it. Its 115 degrees here in Las Vegas so its not much fun to ride locally, if something comes up that sounds like fun we can ride the Boss Hoss or the V8 Chopper. i like the Triumph so much that this issue hasn't dampened my enthusiasm at all about the bike.
