That Carpenterized monster of steel's will bury the 1000RR in a straight line a long, long way off the line. The Beemer might start to reel him in about 1/4 of a mile down the road when it gets into its power band at 10-12,000+ RPM, but, by then it's game, set and match over for the hypersonic Rocket Captain.
Truth is, me and another member here have been thrashing a mutual friend of ours (a former racer) and his beautiful BMW 1000RR for years, especially in the twisties where he just cannot nearlyget into the meat of his powerband and we always leave him in our mirrors given the slightest bit of straightaways 'tween the turns.
