Engine Bolt Head Finisher Kit ?

Here is an odd question for a Friday night -

Anyone ever try the "engine bolt head finisher kit"?

I have the R3T and the part number looks the same for all Rockets -

My R3Classic came with them and after a few washings, they started disappearing until there were none left......oh well.

I have several additions of that type...they look nice but one must take a little insurance policy out by using a dab of clear permatex when putting them on. Since starting this process I have yet to loose another....knock on wood.....SB.

SB beat me to it. I had a bunch of those on my old '89 HD Springer. The trick is to put a touch of adhesive on them. I used to use a toothpick to put a VERY VERY small amount of super glue (after all, you may want to take them off!) on them. I never had an issue with them falling off and I was able to "pop" them off when needed.

I had one missing at new. Replased it at 600 miles, 3 missing by 10,000 miles (replaced again at service) 14,000 all missing now. I think I'll leave it that way...........
