I was hunting around the UK trying to find a dyno shop who used Tuneboy in order to get my Rocket3 setup correctly with my air filter and Sam's 3-1 RHS Predators.

After a long while one has suddenly opened up about 10 miles from my location (which is lucky) and have had a brief chat with the guy. According to him they charge £25 ($50) to check to make sure the tune is loaded correctly, run the machine on the dyno, review the outputs and identify any flat spots and sh1t. After that, if any modification work is required they charge £35 ($70) per hour to do that. For the life of me I cant see why it would take more than 30 mins to modify the stock Sam predator tune - if indeed it needs modding.

Does the above sound kosha to you lot? I dunne have a clue whats involved in dyno'ing a bike to get it setup spot on so am seeking some help from yous lot.

Leigh,
It's cheap as chips mate. Dunno how experienced he is. I'd watch what you've got the rev limits set at as they'll hit it on the dyno. Personally I wouldn't go much over 6,800 too often, but then what do I know. Richard at TTS should be an expert after the time he spent on his, give him a shout.

I think I could do with a tune also,

the discs in my pred system are getting black already and I've only done about 400 miles.

looks like she's running well rich....

dunno if that's intentional, but she's costing about 18 - 20 pence per mile on a rideout

that's about 100 - 110 miles to a tank including most of the reserve

Thats why i kept the engine standard cant afford the juice. That and the fact this tune boy thing goes way over my head.

I think mines running rich as well, again not sure if thats due to the universal application or the fact that maybe he was using california air in his filters....

I'm looking for a place in Georgia, might have found one in Atlanta but its PC3 only...

we need to have a STICKY THREAD on Dyno centers and whos been where...

Leigh
I paid £150 three years ago
so that is cheap
but I think I'd be on his shoulder
Les

If I was on his shoulder, he'd be in a wheel chair! Even if I watched him do what-ever-the-frig-they-do-at-dynos id not have a clue what i was watching. He could play last nights corrie episode on the monitor and id just be nodding away like a plum.

Les - is it worth dyno'ing the bike before you install my triple K&Ns?

Leigh I heard its real hard on the rear tire to dyno. If you find a tune thats just right though, give us a screen shot of the tb so we can benefit from your expenditure! 8)
