Dyno'ing Rocket3 with a Predator 3-1 exhaust

Re: $

Nev,

Please explain further - if this guy doesnt know what he is doing, could he feck up my baby? Id hate to have to dig hole to hide his corpse if he did so. The guy started up on his own and does a lot of dynoing of race bikes and stuff.

Give me some sorta steer as id hate to feck my ride. Im not looking for superturbonuttaspeed like Perds ( ) all I want is the bike setup right with the preds and filter(s) and have nice smooth power all the way up (I seldom exceed 135mph).

If needs be and this one doesnt sound right then id go somewhere else. Not sure if you can glean anything from his website .. http://www.adcdyno.co.uk/

Regards,

Leigh

I make a good portion of my living fixing "cheap" dyno jobs,it's great. The phrase "mate I just need to have an hour on your dyno to fix my bike" triggers warning bells in my head.......

Leigh,

I'd wait till you got the K&Ns on mate, otherwise you'll have to go back again.

The website makes the company sound like it was set up by a guy who's done well in telecoms and wanted a way of racing while saving a bit of tax???

Or am I just an old cynic?

I'd give him a wide berth unless you can find a reliable testament to his abilities. I also do not want to come over and help you dig a hole for him when he screws it up.

You like a nice rideout, why not give Richard a call and blast down to Silverstone for a day once you've got you K&Ns. He would probably be able to fit them and tune it in one day, and you can ride back. He's not as cheap as the quote you've had, but then he's not much dearer and is THE MAN as far as tuning Rockets in the country is concerned.

Mine runs sweet as a nut from tickover to the red line.

hmm, perhaps yours runs sweet as a nut due to the not-so-subtle fact it was his pride and joy demonstrator!!

Im still gonna give this numpty a moment of my time and see the colour of his eyes. I will also give Richard a call and remind him I dont want a supercharger and to see what he can do/recommend for me.

I got plenty of time to spare before the triple K&Ns as Les has done a runner  im sure he will invite me down soon to tamper with my filter bits-n-bobs.

(I dont like runs - as you know Perds - I just invested in the new Triumph Bike in a Bubble" air tight bag which they say you can leave your bike in for a whole year, every year  )

I had to pay $315 (USD-which is like 6 euros now, isn't it? ) to COMPLETELY remap Hombre's tune, despite our modified bikes being virtually identical. This affair took all day, worth it in the end b/c of the additional power-but like you thought it would be just a tweak.

The shorter the time on the dyno, the less perfect the tune, training being equal really...
