Don't have to worry about tire wobble , Laid it down

Man , don't get me wrong SCREW the bike , I am not cat food I went for a slide on the interstate at 60mph. If all i got was a broken fibula and a wrecked bike ,AMEN.
That is why i have insurance . In case they total it , i have gap insurance.
the rescue squad and the Police officer thought was toast!
I am one happy guy !

WEAR your leathers , without them it would have been alot worse!

I do all the time, have wrecked a couple of leather jacket and leather pants over the years but that is what wear them for they ain't no fashion statement!!

Glad to hear you're okay leather sure do help on road rash''''' Curious about what the dealer was supposed to have done to correct the problem about all they could do was tighten the bearings on the triple tree, wonder what the degree of rake is and if it's the same as the classic. Suzuki had this problem on the 1500 intruder trike they had to change the rake to get rid of it or put a stabilizer shock like the ****** rockets have .

the rake on the r3t is 32degrees which if i remember right is defferent than the classic

Certainly changed my riding attire since my off ... had i been wearing what i wear now .... well we all make mistakes but only an idiot don't learn from them . Glad that you're not too knocked around.

I began to have a high speed wobble in another life time and finally had to give up speed. Seriously, for no reason I began to experience a high speed wobble above the ton mark. Shortly after that, the bike went into the shop at Power Tripp's for a long story that I won't bore you with. Wayne tightened the triple tree bearings a tad. When I finally got my bike back, all has been fine since. No more wobble on the high end.

Glad you are OK.

yes Triumph even braged about changing the steering Geometry to speed up the steering and that and the narrow rear tyre are what makes the Touring handle better?..... makes me think they may have made to big a change in the front end!!!

Always hate to hear about a guy and his bike going down...really sorry but I'm very glad to hear you're OK and just took a slide with a minor break.
Hopefully, everybody does the right thing between the insurance folks and whatnot. Good luck and keep us posted about how all this works out.

Glad to hear you're ok, and congrats on your choice of riding apparel.

Reading over your previous thread you said that the problem was fixed. How many miles have you covered since the 'fix' and did it gradually return or did this just happen at the time of your accident? Was it the same symptom, wobble under deceleration, or was this something different?

As I posted in your earlier thread the only similar issue I've had on my R3T is a slight weave at speeds over 120 and never on deceleration. From everything else I've heard this is not a common problem and your initial problem sounded like a setup error, either by the dealer or the factory.

Good luck on your recovery.
