I am not paying the dealer 1 hr labor to do a oil change, so what do I need to do it myself? Do they sell a kit? How much oil goes back in on 13 Roadster?

A "Kit"? If it was OEM it would be equal or more costly than letting a Triumph certified technician do it

You'll need 6.3 quarts of 15/50/wt 'brand' synthetic oil and a PH6017A FRAM or KN-204 oil filter. I suggest putting individual lengths of 2x6 under front and rear tire with another 2x4 for under the side stand if you don't have a fancy cycle lift. This will give you some appreciated room to work UNDER the bike. There are "3" drain plugs! Your owners manual will explain which are which and what for.

Wow one says 5.4 quarts and the other says 6.3 quarts that should get him going. Just a idea look in the manual it says to fill your oil so that it is between the two grooves on the dipstick.

I decided that I too didn't have the money to pay the dealer $75 for a simple oil change so I did it myslef and saved $3.21. It seems that buying the synthetic oil and filter at my local Autozone is just as costly as buying the stuff at the dealer who has moved just over an hour ride away. So in hind site, I didn't really save that much but I did learn what is different on this bike than so many others. Make sure you titen those drain plugs correctly!!! I do not have a torque wrench and evidently the calibration is off on my elbow as I didn't get it right the first time and had a slight leak afterwards. I used 5.5 quarts to fill it after the change. That oil filter is the easy part for sure.

@Boog you have a good dealer. One of the dealers near me gets a $150 for oil change or $400+ for a full service. That includes oil change, look over the bike and squirt white lithium grease all over everything.

So just go buy a @flipmeister paddock stand 6 quarts of oil (use about 5 1/2) get the three washers just in case one has a burr on it. (Reuse washers if they look good and also 2 of the washers are the same and the other one is different. Also pick up the o ring washer that's onthe one drain plug further up the shaft, just in case.) get a Mobil 1 m108 or m110 oil filer.

Now you have a nice stand to work on and store your bike on, all for the same price as one oil change.

Make sure the oil you use does not have friction modifiers in in. Bad for clutch.

Usually I would highly recommend that you use someone with some experience maybe you do have the knowledge but by the wording in your question it makes me wonder, if you do it your self buy a decent torque wrench not something from harbor freight, download the manual and read up on it before you start.

Been doing it for 10 years with Mobil 1 synthetic 10-40, 5,5 qts is close enough for me, my rocket still as strong as the first day with over 40k miles, which is nothing compared to some of tbe hooligans here

We run the same mobil one synthetic. 05 bonnie america 95,000 miles in five years. 2010 fatboy 86,000 miles. 2015 Rocket X 6,OOO miles ( Bike is only two months old). Need I say we ride a lot and believe mobil synthetic over the years has more than likely saved me a lot of money in repairs. GOOD STUFF.
