Easy to do. TuneECU is the best and most useful tool you can get. The software is free for a PC, or for a small charge on a Droid - from the Play Store. The cable is about $20.
I just cut a hole in the stack on my 1770, used the original grommet and stick the sensor right into number 2. Easy! Though sounds like the ram air is easier
I see the new Ramair might have issues too. Don't be too hasty.
If the filter is the only thing you're changing I wouldn't rush to remap. Bike really should tune itself with only that change. Biggest advantage with Ramair is that it can be cleaned and reused. It's unlikely to have a dramatic impact on a:f on its own.
