Deceleration pops after Penner Remap

I reckon they will always be there unless you remove the Secondary Air Injection - worked on my Valkyrie anyway

I have the same question. Just remapped my 2012 Roadster to the 20355 map (I think) but the popping's still there, although slightly reduced. Do I add something on the F table in the 0% column, or do I play with the AFR?

...pretty sure when they say they added fuel it was on the earlier Rockets not the new gen models....the burble your hearing is pretty standard on the new gen Rockets...personally i like it!...i run a penner tune also which i have tickled a bit but havnt tried adding fuel low down to minimize the snap, crackle, pop!

Thanks Tal, but I think mine qualifies as an "earlier", it's a 2012 Roadster. A previous owner fitted a Jardine exhaust but without a retune, otherwise stock (as far as I can tell - I'm still a Rocket novice). It's a bit loud for me but I can live with it, except for the overrun popping which is stupidly loud. I read elsewhere I need to richen the mix, but don't know the best way to do this. I'll have a play with the F table, but could use some wise advice from them who know.

If you get your bike on a dyno the tuner will sort the tune to suit your Jardines. If it hasnt been touched since new it will be running lean anyway as the bike would have left the factory running a tad lean to meet emission laws....ask the tuner to add fuel low down in the tune which will reduce decel pop.
I had a 2014 Roadster and later a 2016 Roadster which had Jardines...i had them tuned as i have suggested and yes it reduces the pop.
You will certainly notice the difference after the tune as he will adjust air/fuel ratio to bring it inline for your ambient pressure and you will get more response from less throttle twist...expect big smiles!

Agree about a dyno being the best way, but I live in Abu Dhabi - there isn't a dyno around. There is a tuner in Dubai, but the weather out here in the summer (50+ deg C, 122+ F) means the 90 minute trip to him is a real endurance test at my advancing years. In summer we only ride short hops between cool beers. I'll try tweaking the F table as an interim....
