Hanso I had my bike looked at by another dealer. They seem more reputable. They said due to my mods and no baffle Jardine pipes I will always have a little pop. They also said the little pop will not hurt the bike. Everything is connected correctly. They tweaked the pcv map and it runs good. I am done accepting the trims. I almost think the autotuner was a waste. :). There are no flat spots. If I dare to accept the trims they will flatten the bike. I must say to all I ride this bike like it is my last day on earth.
sorry to hear you think the Auto tune is a waste cos everybody else that has used it seems very happy I just wish I was oiver there reckon I would sort it if I could hear it running and take it to its limits cos that how I ride I do not show no mercy when I get on "the Mistress" I ride to the Rev Limmiter all The time, I just had a thought check the connections under the side infill cover behind the motor I once had an issue when I got a bit carried away with the hose there is a connection from the Crank Angle Sensor which the PCV connects to and I somehow managed to fill with water while washing the bike, it caused the rev limiter to cut in at variuos different rev areas from 3,000 to 5,000 rpm and drove me mad till I was feed up and started to revert to running with out the PCV and that is when I found the this stupid plug which is facing upwards and makes a neat little cup that water can not drain from.... have a look it might be part of your problem, cos as I said every body keeps telling me they are happy with my map in the PCV with the Auto Tune

Mine has run sweet as from the day it rolled off of the dyno with Pcv and custom map . Auto tune is a good idea but I still think a custom map is unbeatable nice power delivery smooth and one less mechanical object that can fail . I've considered one but I'm so happy with the bike since rolling off the dyno that I don't see the point .

Do you think I should save the map they installed and then accept the trims after a couple of hundred miles? Then if for some reason she runs rough just upload the old map? Does the autotuner do anything for you if you do not accept the trims? Forgive me for my frustration. :) Thank you Hans!

don't worry I'll have Little Lappy with me we can have a look at it and have a little play;).......>>>>>>//////////////////////////88888888888888888888888888888888888

Mate hopefully I will have my tors on by then, but we are dealing with a government department.

If she is running good I would not be accepting the trims just yet let the auto run if it is still turned on, leave it doing its job it wil just fine tune as you go according to the fuel table and AFR's table but defiantly save it and while your at it can you send me a copy of the saved map, it would be interesting to see where they tweaked it in case there is someone else who runs into a similar issue because as you may have realised by now our girls are all unique and all have thier little idiosyncraties that s what makes them so special and indearring to us

That is just the point the auto tune will give you a custom map and as I said to you before your tune has just one middle of the road AFR (13.2) you can potentially unleash more ponies by dropping the AFR's down to as low as 12.7 or 12.5 , the lower the number = more fuel = more power:D

Not to worry either way we can have a play I will be there for a couple of extra days at this stage so time should not be an issue

True but she is my transport to work everyday aswell as my weekend toy so i think the torque and power I have is perfect considering also most others I've seen with the triples fall slightly shy of the 150 hp mark so I have the perfect combo of power and economy . Once I have a second bike then this one can pay a visit to nev lush . The only other problem I have with Autotune is its all seat of the pants comparison u don't actually know what results u are getting . Is it increased torque with hp loss or hp gain torque loss or both increased and if so what are the results. Don't get me wrong I think it's a great invention but it's nice to know where the improvements are and by how much if at all

Gentleman, I just got the beast back from the shop. They put my new grips on and looked at my setup. They said all looked great. They put a new map in the pcv and tweaked it a little. I still map in the ecu from hans ( jardine, secondaries removed and triple k&n's ) I got on her and she took my breath away. It is a different bike!!! Scary I must say. I am pleased with the results. There is minimal popping on hard down shifting. Long live the Rocket 3 ! ! ! Thank you all for your very useful advice. A special thank to Hans for all of his input!!! :D
