Dang Broken Throttle Cable

several folks have mentioned putting graphite on the cables. What about white lithium grease? I've used it before on car door hinges and it seems to work well. Is it appropriate for this use?

There is a special cable lube that you can buy. But I don't see an issue with white lithium grease

I've used it on car door/hood/trunk hinges for years but it kind of sets up. I lube the cables on all of my bikes with graphite. I bought the kit at a MC shop and it comes with a needle that is shoved down into the cable housing. It makes the cables uber slick and I've never had any problems, well, except when I forget to lube the darn things.
