Triumph Rocket 3 Cruise Control Reset Sequence

If you have been accessing the ECU through TuneECU and performed any adjustments, it is possible that your Cruise Control will stop working. Good Triumph techs will know of the issue and the fix, but most in my part of the world at least, are hopeless and will start hours of diagnostics, suggest changing ECUs, TFT displays switch cubes and all this other thousands of dollars bull****. If a fault check with TuneECU shows no fault codes and your Cruise Control does not engage here is the sequence to reactivate.

1 - Switch ignition on to stage 2 fuel pump engaged but do not start.
2 - Depress Front Brake Lever and release
3 - Depress Rear Brake :ever and release
4 - Pull Clutch Lever and realease
5 - Roll Throttle forward, you will feel and little "notch" that it goes over and release
6 - Push the SET {lower} Switch on the Cruise Control Rocker Switch and release
7 - Push the Reset {upper} Switch on the Cruise Control Rocker Switch and release
8 - Start Engine
9 - Turn engine and ignition off
The system is now reset.

TuneECU will tell you to run the above switch check when you get DTC 1575 displayed. This DTC does NOT light the MIL. Once the switch check is done the DTC is reset.

From the Shop Manual:
Note•
After the engine management adaption has been reset on this model, the Cruise Control Switch Check Function Test must be performed (see Cruise Control Switch Check). After the adaptions have been reset, DTC 1575 (cruise control disabled until button press sequence completed) will be stored, and the cruise control disabled, until the function test is completed.
