Corbin Beetles/Paint Burn??

Nothing ventured..........told the dealer to put the two tone beetles on. Will work on a remedy if discoloration starts. Thanks to all of you.

That "other" site is reporting at least 2 cases of holes being burnt in the bottom of the Corbins.

A couple questions. - Is stop and go traffic a contributor to the problem?
Does this only affect the Classics?

Why dont you guys just buy a ruck sack. You can get em for a tenner at JB Sports. Then it dont spoil the looks of your bikes. You dont want all that clutter you want a rucksack job done

Most of my 11,000mi is on the highway, not in stop and go conditions. I've seen alot of other R3's with Beetle Bags and none of them exhibit this condition, so I'm thinking it's a Classic-only issue and most likely based on the the exhaust tip 'funnelling' all the hot gas to a point right under the bag. The rest of our Captains here have said they have no problems with their Beetle Bags either. The problem showed up on mine within 2 months of taking delivery of the bike.

Because we have several countries that we can access with our Rockets ie; Canada, Mexico, South America and we need the space. If my only option were the Chunnel, I would not spend the money.
