Considering upgrading to a roadster

Florida conditions quite similar to mid/south Queensland Oz( where I'm from) engine heat isn't an issue at all.

x2 Ive found the most heat is from the radiator fan when it cuts in at the lights, but in most cases it doesnt come on unless you are stuck in a jam and its not that intolerable.

I was out with a friend last summer,he was on a new Honda ST1300,the temps were around 38c and he was really feeling the heat even on the hwy.
Me,cool as a cucumber:mrgreen:

well, now i know that all my bikes have a bit of the devil in them... my dl1000 is "satan's hard-on", because every time i twist the throttle it goes "boing!" and the front wheel is sticking up in the air... my vtx1800 was "satan's jackhammer", because when you grab a handful of throttle at 2500rpm in 5th gear it's like the devil himself pounding to get out...

the r3r is "the breath of satan", because when you are sitting at a stoplight in 90f weather and the radiator fan comes on you get a quick bit of insight into what eternity is going to feel like for some of us...

and back to the op: selling your bike to the dealer is a loser every time... if you are going to sell it so cheap, then just sell it to some person on the steet for the same price the dealer would give you: you will have a new friend and some good karma... go to kbb.com and look in the right hand pane for motorcycle prices...
