I should be able to drill and helicoil the piece and use threadlock where the ball link screws in and that will make a nice strong repair.

Just go and get some new rose-joints and use a through bolt. Will be stronger, and waggle less.

The rose joints are a good idea, what diameter is the rod that they screw on to each end of?

Its ok, did some measuring and worked out what size I need. Will continue with the stock linkage for a while first though and see how it holds up

Low idle issue seems to be sorted now, secondary tps voltage was reading a bit high and primary tps voltage was low, sorted them out using tunecu and just covered 100 miles with no issues.
