Pig9er, what the heck is this noise, you were born in seventy five? thanks for making me feel like an old fart. i'll be 60 this coming november, but i'm still riding, and since i got my rocket 3 a couple of weeks ago, my streetglide, the zrx 1200-R, the fxr, and even my honda big ruckus haven't been touched. the rocket is just so much fun to ride and comfortable too. after riding it home when buying it a couple of weeks ago, i parked it in my shop and immediately hopped on my 08 streetglide. ya know, i always thought my streetglide was a big bike, but after riding the rocket, the streetglide feels almost like a 250 motocrosser in comparison. and as far as this kid who gets a kick out of gixxers, good for him, i guess. some people's kids, huh? go figure. back to the original thread, get a rocket three, i've had about 60 bikes through the years having ridden legally since 1965, and my 08 rocket 3 classic just has presence that a harley does not have. i dig my streetglide and fxr, but they're common whereas the rocket 3 has character, and its size is intimidating to say the least, as is the power. i've had beemers, guzzis, a few ducatis, even a laverda, benelli, bonnevilles, and several harleys. each has their niche, but the rocket 3's pissed off gorilla power makes me think that it's capable of altering the rotation of the planet when you give her the gas. when i'm riding my rocket 3 i don't go out in the lot to try to figure out which vivid black streetglide is mine. did i mention that it always draws a crowd and people will be recording your bike with their cell phones or camera as you're riding down the highway? become a superstar, get that rocket, you know you want it.
