Cold Start Problem-2012 Roadster

I had the same issue years ago, adjusted my TPS and it never occurred again.
I just got done browsing every thread on the forum that includes the phrase "low idle", which led me to this one. Pretty sure I remember you writing about that when you made the fix. Glad to hear it's still holding up!

I tried all the sensors, adjustments, etc that I saw discussed, with no improvement. Finally took it to the dealer. Valves were out of adjustment, valve lash adjusted and it runs like new! Was a bit overdue, about 23k.

Thanks for the update! Great to hear it was resolved for you.

Valve adjustments seem to be so inconsistent. Some people go tens of thousands of miles and need little to no adjustment. Others have to adjust multiple valves by 10k. I've added it to my list of projects to tackle this winter, just to see where they stand.

I checked my Tiger a couple thousand over due and they were perfect, right in the middle of spec. So I really didn't expect the Rocket's to be out. I'll tackle it next time myself-never done bucket and shim valves before, something new to learn.

At 25,000 plus, seven shims needed to be replaced. Not off by much. Six shims up one size and one shim down one size. Got me 12mm-14mm intake and exhaust is now between 17mm-19mm.
