Clock installation

The clock arrived yesterday . . . appeared from the packaging it could have been on a shelf somewhere for many moons, and I noted from the instructions there were supposed to be two wire clips in there but are missing.

@DEcosse , might you refresh my memory how to connect this item ?

See post #4 Paul

If already using the heated grips connector (for heated grips - duhhhh) you can still connect to the same wires with three PosiTaps
If not, I'm not sure what the connector is on the Main Harness - take a pic for me, I'll ID it & give you a link so you can swap out the one on the clock (if it's different!) and have it be plug n play.

Do you have the Touring model? If so, I don't know if there is much difference in the process...Don't know about the clips, mine did not come with any. I threaded the cable through the same clip that cradles the clutch cable. Unbolt the tank and the plastic shroud, then lift the tank. The wiring loom is directly under the forward area of the tank. Thread the clock cable through (probably the most central point) the frame and shroud. You should easily find the matching receptacle to plug in the clock. I turned the power on to make sure the clock was getting juice, then I used some zip ties to stabilize the cable from flopping around. Be sure and leave enough slack in the cable to be able to turn the handlebars without pinching or putting stress on it. Then just put all the hex bolts back in place. I used a few more zipties to secure the clock cable alongside the clutch line. The clock housing itself is difficult to work with as the shell is 2 parts that have to fit together exactly. Adjusting the clock to my preferred vantage point (and matching symmetry) was the most difficult thing to do. The clock cable has to fit through the small opening in the bottom (again, be careful not to leave it in a position where it could get pinched or sustain undue wear). Good luck!

is that mileage right???tsk tsk tsk

SUCCESS! Took me a little over an hour to install. Hardest part was adjusting the clock position to make everything look balanced.
How do you change the clock time please if I may ask just fitted to my bike as well thanks
