Decided the indicators were a bit too orange so bought some clear lenses. i believe it really improves the look of the bike.
Hard to capture in pictures as the bulbs look quite orange but in real light of day not the case.

Yep, a nice subtle "modernizer" of the look for the non-Tourings. Triumph put clear ones on the R3 Touring out of the gates, thankfully.

my bike is black and chrome so I went for the smoked black version......one thing that didn't go according to plan when fitting the orange bulbs was that the earth tab got bent over when pushing it in which lead to a dead short on the wiring ...the 2min swap over job ended up taking 2hrs to find the problem!

I left the clear bulbs in so I guess I missed that problem.

Get some LED bulbs that flash amber but don't give you the amber look when not on. I put them in mine with the smoked lenses and looked nice and dark. Flasher relay is only $30. You might need to reverse the wiring in the indicators as with LEDs, polarity is critical, unlike with std globes. One of mine was the wrong way round but an easy fix.

I did think about the smoked version but decided on clear as some smoked lenses don't look very bright and it's a case of be seen and be safe IMO.

Did try and find LED bulb replacements but couldn't be arsed with relays and wiring mods etc. It's not something I couldn't do but thought clear lenses a sufficent ipmrovement in their own right. Maybe later as some bulbs have built in resistors now.

Flasher relay is just a plug in replacement for the standard one, globes fit in the same as ordinary ones. It's only the 2 wires that plug to the back of each indicator that needed reversing. Simple test: it wasn't working so I unplugged the 2 little terminals and reversed them. Hardly an "arse" of a job.

Anyway it was just a suggestion to eliminate the orange look that you seemed concerned about. Plus they're brighter. Knock yourself out brother.
