Hey, my wife says since I lost 60 pounds she can get her arms around me now and would like to ride with me on the Rocket. Cool. So off comes my custom Rich's seat and on will go the classisc two-up seat I just won on e-bay. For those of you with a classis, does your seat use the pillion seat bracket (or one simular) for the rear of the classis seat to "latch" into, or does the pillion part just sit on the rear fender? Just wondering what I have to look forward to when I get my seat. Thanks...

Thanks..

Thanks..does the pin that holds the pillion portion in place have just a pull release or does it need a key like the captain seat?

mine ain't got nothin.
I got the stock standard solo vinyl seat with the little pile on.
and bought a double leather seat from a classic.
All mine has is the key lock mechanism and rubber pads to sit on the fender, like the p pad.
I also ain't got no pull ring, so maybe I don't have the classic seat.
hummmm.

Thanks..

Thanks for all the feedback. The auction I won comes with the bracket and the release parts. Brand new (300 mile) classis seat with all parts for $75 and $23 shipping. Pretty good deal I think.

Dude!

Take the pillion portion (and the wife) to Rich and have him make you one that matches that sofa you have/had on there!

Not like you have to get on a boat or anything to go see him, he's just down the road!

Marcus! I would, except.....I gave the pillion away to another Captain on this site who wanted to do a custom pillion....guess I thought I'd always ride solo, but times they are a changing!

But I may have Rich do a custom 2-up sofa seat out of the classic seat...

A word of advice, when you mount the pillion bracket for the 2-up, grease the pin the pillion seat latches to. If the pin is dry the seat may not unlatch when you pull the cable release. Ask how I know.
