Check your plugs lately?

I have never liked SeaFoam in anything, tried it several cages and I would swear they ran worse. I changed plugs at 20K, will check em again. Thanks Mully.
I'm not a big fan of additives but i have to say adding Seafoam every other tank fill up has kept my fuel injectors from clogging. Originally it was developed for marine engine use. i wouldn't call it a miracle product but it does keep my injectors clean..

I replaced the plugs and it runs much better.:D

They plugs were only 6 months old. I dont know why they went bad but I bought some ngk iridium spark plugs from Wayne and I like them.
The exhaust smelled rich when the bike was cold, not now.

Surprised  I thought everyone was using these ?

Ok, I'm slow. I did the EB kit, triple k&n, plugs and I am working on LED's. What else am I behind on??

LOL sorry Nolton wasn't aimed at you  I don't think your slow mate :)

The iridium plugs are surposed to be good for about 50k
We use them in our natural gas fueled buses and get about 6 months per set, normal plugs last about 3 weeks then start breaking down..

I know for me my bike was like a night and day difference. I wonder what the heat range is compared to the 7 in which the Roadster needs to have. The heat range is 8 in your plug...... one step "colder". NGK ranges are opposite of other spark plugs from what the carquest guy said. I assume the heat range are the same whether they're iridium or not.

I'm going to pull a couple plugs and see how they look in the near future. I'm very interested in the IX plugs.

Im like if anyone has as a good amount of miles on their plugs the need to put new ones in..... NOW! LOL

I just don't know what is up with my motorcycle.

It has started running rough again at cold starts THIS MORNING. I took three of the new plugs out to inspect them and they looked good after 300 miles of use. This morning I cranked the bike up and it was running rich. Sounds like it is running on two cylinders then after 5 minutes it starts to run normal. It is the strangest thing I have ever encountered with a engine. Got off of work just a few minutes ago.....starts....runs rough...5 minutes later runs smooth....!!

1) No trouble light is on and no errors show up in TuneECU
2) New spark plugs
3) I installed a leaner tune (it did the same thing with the richer tune and other tunes I have tried).
4) I have checked all connectors and wires
5) I balanced the throttle bodies in which they are all within 10 (number 3 was out a good bit but its ok now)
6) Reset adaptions numerous times using TuneECU
7) Ive tried numerous 12 minute tunes as well
8)Drained gas tank
9) Ran a tank of gas with Seafoam

I will bring my laptop to RAA and let yall have at it..... if it is a tune problem. I just will not have a battery charger. I mean after the first 5 minutes it is fine so I'm still going to ride the RAA.

It seems to be temperature originated problem..... the ecu is "stupid" for the first 5 minutes until it reaches a certain temperature then the ecu is "smart" after that.

I more than likely take it to the dealership after I get back from RAA but any advise until then would be appreciated. I'm thinking that the bike is going to foul the plugs again soon.

No problem with the battery charger as I am bringing my van I will also bring everything but the kitchen sink, pick up some spare plugs just in case we have to swap them out.

OK
I guess I will get standard plugs instead of the iridium plugs since they are cheaper.

I have thought about it and believe I will not work on the bike while at RAA. I don't want to mess up a good time by worrying with my motorcycle. I will let the dealership have it once I get back unless I get lucky and find out whats going on. I still have some things I want to try before next weekend rolls around.

Would a faulty O2 eliminator optimizer cause this problem you think? I checked it with a OHM meter and can't get a reading on one side...... its open. I can get a reading on the other side. It is the ground and info side not the heater side. I have the O2 sensor unchecked in the tune that Im running on the bike. Think I should have it checked since Im running a optimizer?
