CASTROL ROCKET STREAMLINER back to the SALT FLATS

Two turbo Rocket III engines something like 1000hp! :) :) If they get the record I bet they sell a few more Rockets :)

Even though it is two Rocket engines they have been de-stroked to provide 2970cc. Trivia, or maybe not, the Triumph Bonneville was named after the record setting run in 1955. The T120 Bonneville went on sale in 1959. :)

So I have been reading about changing conditions at the flats such that they are being threatened with being un-driveable in the not too distant future: something about the cycle of flood and dry being disrupted.

I'm sure people much better informed than me are working with the team such that their considerable investment will turn into publicity-gaining runs.

High hopes for all involved, but most for Bob and Guy. The commitment from all involved to stick with this attempt year after year, fire, flood, injury, determination will get them there.

Cross your fingers for no rain because Guy Martin is the best chance at breaking it, I don't think he knows how to do anything less than 100%.

Looking for a 400+ mph number soon!!

Bonneville being a lake bed has been known to flood occasionally all along...maybe it's getting back to being a full time lake!

Hopefully that bodes well for the record attempt later this month.

I have been talking to the little lady and I think we are going to go down as volunteers next year. :)
