Carpenter Exhaust

Funny, I've ridden to Key West twice, from New Jersey back to Louisiana, to Maggie Valley, to Arkansas and Missouri, plus multiple trips to Texas, and never burned my jeans on the Carp pipe. I have ridden in shorts, hell at a couple of bike rallies I've ridden nude, and never burnt anything. If you want to compare performance, I'll post my dyno sheet if you post yours

??? Not sure what you are talk about, I never heard of anyone burning anything on Carpenter pipes, though I'm sure you can burn your leg on any pipes.

Not the Brute pipe, but the new one has the curve to the front that seems to need a heat shield.
I remember the late @Boudreaux burned a few jeans on his Reband because he didn't use the heat shield. Mrs Boudreaux was not happy with him.

I don't but then I had some heat shields made for mine.

I hate to say it but the only aftermarket pipes I've seen with heat shields made to match was the Jardine and the later Predators.

Sad to say, but since you run a Carp pipe, you can't possibly be doing any "real" riding.

Reband and CES both come with shields now, as do the brutes if you ask for them.

Cerakote on them makes a world of difference, they'll (all) still burn exposed skin but the radiant heat gets cut a lot with the cerakote.

There really is no magic pipe, they'll all burn you if you have bad habits.

if your talking about them worthless after market shield I had a set of them. You could do more with pledge cans !!!!!!!!!!!
