Cam shaft questions?

It is time for valves to be checked for clearances. My questions are 1) should I be considering getting some cam shaft mods done? 2) what are my options? 3) what do I need to adjust the valves myself? Thanks
If your cams aren't making a lot of unusual clatter and/or ticking noises at idle (loose valves) and you're not having difficulty starting and/or idling (tight valves), your valves are probably still within spec and don't need inspection/adjustment.

When you are doing the valve clearence, changing cams is a good option.
With stock pistons a 245-250 cam with about 0.35" lift at the intake and stock exhaust cam will do a good job and add about 15hp.
Ask Neville Lush or Carpenter if he has got something for you.
But it takes some experience to fit and adjust it.
