Calling all Aussies - Rockets Downunder???

Totally agree Ishmael. With almost all of us (with apologies to those out west) living up and down the east coast - more or less - there's always those who would have to travel further, or get to go on a bigger adventure. Moving inland some will help equalise the experience. Canberra to Alice? Now that's some adventure and a lot more than a (long) weekend but with enough lead time, who knows.

I only mention Alice coz it's recognisable to most Aussies ( if not iconic)
The name also leads to some rude sounding run names - you know - "Put a Rocket up Alice" or something equally lacking in couth.

Central is indeed where I was going my dear Canberra ( and bitumen all the way!)
So somewhere in the middle?
 
Hi guys, firstly let me say I'm definately IN.
Just thinking aloud but maybe 'Alice' might be a bit ambitious for the first organised ride and meeting.
I was thinking that we could have an initial get together of groups 'relative' to their areas eg. Northern NSW + Brisbane/Central Coast + FNQ. Canberra could draw from NSW + Sydney + Northern Vic. and so on.
If the gatherings were all on the same weekend we would have an idea of how big the 'club' could be in it's infancy stage.
Feedback from these gatherings would give us a better understanding of how much input people are prepared to have and hopefully a bucket load of ideas. Then we could have our first 'big' ride and make it official!
I'd be happy to help. It would be handy to have a friend that works for Triumph so we could get a list of R3 owners.

I'm a bit worried tho' if people meet me before the major tryst they might exclude me. Ugly, mean looking , no charm or social grace, unfortunate sense of humour, if any, and I smell like a combination of stogies and quiet desperation.

Now, who's got an extra R3 to loan to me once I get there?
 
Don't know about passing the hat to get you (or anyone else) here but sure could look into ways of giving foreign visitors a 'ride'.
