"And this one is just right" ~ Goldilocks
Dealers handy work? Took my bike into a dealership one time to have the back tire replaced. Got home and found that the passenger pegs were installed wrong. Folding up in wrong direction. Fixed it. Then when it came around time for a new tire found that they had torqued the axle down to the point of being ridiculous. Had to replace wheel bearings, spacers and several stripped out bolts including the bolts that hold the foot peg rails in place. Had to drill the little guys out. Called the dealership up and explained to them what i had found and required replacement. They told me the guy who that had worked on the bike had been fired. No hope in getting reimbursed for parts. Took a ride out to Oklahoma city a few days later and guess who was still working there? Have not been back to a dealership since then. With a lot of reading and the help on here really can get by doing my own work. A lot less headaches.![]()

I had to have a front tire on a 900 Trophy replaced at a dealership while passing through KY one time. Shortly thereafter the speedometer went out- cable, I thought. Once I got around to pulling the wheel I discovered that I had to use a loooong cheater bar to break the axle nut free. I have to give this dealership credit, I called and complained and they sent me a new speedo hub, axle spacer, and bearings, which had been completely crushed from over torquing by their hired wrench gorilla.
