Geez! 6 whole pages on a blown fuse!
That's 6 hrs out of my life I'll never get back!

My apologies, Jimbo. Twas indeed a 30 amp fuse - I incorrectly typed 20 amp.
Went out for a good ride yesterday and all is good. I sure feel stupid for spending $100 for a 2 mile tow over a stupid fuse!
If this ever happens again, I shall have my multimeter and spare fuses with me and I now know what to do!

Spoke to the service manager today
Apparently the rear brake locked up on them during a test ride.
They went through the brakes and he said the only thing they found was the rear brake lever was adjusted to low

They raised it up and have been unable to get it to lock up since.

Does this make sense to anyone?

The pedal needs to be fully released to allow the return of brake fluid to the master cylinder. There is a very small return hole which allows fluid back, and this hole is sealed once the pedal is even slightly depressed. Without this, the fluid can heat up and expand - forcing the pistons out. As the pistons are forced out, the pads rub on the rotor, generating more heat and compounding the problem. By raising the pedal they clear the return path and all is good.

Sometimes dirty brake fluid can block this return hole with similar results.

just looked at mine and it has a little free play just like the clutch cable. on mine the brake pedal has a spring to return the petal so if that shaft sticks so as to hold the plunger in it might not let fluid return and cause a problem. i would keep an eye on it and make sure that it has a little free play after you drive it a while.
just a though you might take it easy for a while and watch that rotor to make sure that its not turning blue. good luck on the fix

My brakes feel like sh*t, last night I was in heavy traffic and split the lane running up to a light with not much clearance (I have bags and bars) then the light changed as I was between gears and about to pull up and I was kind of sandwiched as the cagers took off in a hurry so I give 'er and then had to pull up on the next stop from about 100k and locked up the rear, fronts pretty spongy. I wouldn't call it an 'emergency stop' but it put the wind up me a bit.
I am going to do my brakes as soon as possible! I have 70k on my bike and I am not sure of it's history..

NOT at all hard to lock the rear with out ABS.. But still worthy of a good look and fluid change.
