Briefly Lost Electrical While Riding

I took the bike in for first service to triumph dealer. I gave them a detail of the occurrence, they checked the bike over but did not find any problem with connections or fuses or battery terminal. They gave the bike a clean bill of health as far as electrical goes. It only happened once so fingers crossed.

Thanks.

Mine did this sure to a failing ignition switch. Old stuff but worth a mention ?

White wire on your ignition switch I bet that is scolded on on the bottom of the unit .
Very common just got mine done and the fella that did mine said he has done heaps of them. Also if you are doing it your self be carefully when taking it out .

Cheers For Beers

OK, thanks for the direction. Next question, how do you access the ignition switch wires to check this. I checked service manual and search general Internet but haven't found anything specific that would help?

Thanks.

Roadsters do not switch high current through the key-switch so would be surprised if there are any connector issues - references to those are usually offered by/to std/classic users up to 08.

That is why I got some on else to do it ,I had the same problem.
And the reason I got it soldered was if you got a hole new switch but you would have to have two keys .
The wire harness to the key unit gets palled when turning .
When Dave did mine he said the same about the high current .

Tex with the keyless not shore how that system works and were that ties in on the harness .
do,s the ignition switch still needs to be in the on position for it to work.
