I do not know if anybody has had the same idea but the stamped edge of the gas tank looks cheap on the R3 roadster triumph spent a bit more money on the tank of the bonneville and smoothed out the rough edges and it looks so much better so when time came to paint I filled in the bottom edge and front of the tank on my R3 and it looks indeed much smoother what do you think??
 
That does look good. I hadn't noticed the Roadster's issue before, I'll look more closely.
 

Try CAT YELLOW it will run faster
 
Much better, I love it. Mine's always been mildly annoying, but now it's become much more annoying know there's someone out there who just fixed it up so nicely.

That tank fill actually looks real nice - once one gets around the John Deere paint.
I think about you every time I see news footage of the smoke bombers working on the Chelan and Omak area fires!
