Black engine paint

Can anybody recommend a good touch up paint for a black R3 engine. I only seem to find paint that is high temperature and not petrol proof or petrol proof paint that isn't heat proof.
I just want to repaint a patch on the timing chain cover where the paint has bubbled up due to corrosion underneath it for some reason.

I would suggest hi-temp BBQ paint. It probably isn't marketed as petrol proof so as not to encourage people to use it to clean their hot BBQs. However, if you do pour petrol over your engine on a regular basis, and it takes the paint off, then it is easy to touch up with a brush.

Before you do that I believe Nev said he had the correct black paint info at work. I believe it was for Tony @Mittzy , maybe he will chime in now that he has been summoned

No I don't pour petrol over the engine but I only want to paint it once. It's the odd petrol splash that maybe won't happen anyway. I am just fussy. I will look at bbq paint to see if it matches.

I have tried the BBQ paint and over time have not had much luck with it. Same luck with touch up paint. Got some road rash on the clutch cover down in the corner.

Thanks for that. It seems it gonna take a bit of luck to get it right. Trial and error I suppose.

I know that Harley shops sell touch up paint for their engines. Going to check into that soon.
