Bike is a bit "floppy" whilst driving

What you need my friend is a new Thunderbird with that 1700 cc upgrade.
V-twin it ain't.
Of course, v-max it ain't either.
The Thunderbird has CLASS.

I do like the thunderbird. But even with the upgrade, I suspect it just won't have the asphalt thrashing power that I'm looking for. I hope somebody works up a forced induction system for it.

I have to say ... I'm pretty much ruined for life when it comes to motorcycles after having the SC'd rocket. I don't think anything will ever satisfy that thrill of being ripped off the bike by sheer accel unless it has been bastardized the way that my poor rocket has been.

Yea, if I had the choice to make, another Rocket as a spare, or a New Thunderbird for the same price, it'd be a tough call.
Only because I want my wife to have a decent bike and the Thunderbird doesn't intimidate her the way the R3 does.
If my needs and wants were the only consideration, I'd have 2 R3's in a heartbeat..

I just read a review on the '09 V-Max. I had no idea the beast weighed in at 730 lbs.

So much for my "light and nimble" theory. Sounds like I'd have to look to a busa for that.

At the same time, I'm drooling again after reading about the new vmax. I'm looking at that '07 tonight, but I might just have to hold out for the new technology. Apparently these things are mighty powerful right off the showroom floor.

Then again ... there is a special draw of having a second supercharged rocket in the garage ... stripped naked as can be and ready for some all out fun. A bit like the SC'd beast that HEAD through together and was talking about selling.

Yeah, I have looked at those too. And the prices are quite tempting. The poor things just never took off here in the USA, despite being quite obviously a very impressive bike.

I'm wondering if the same thing will happen with the V-Max. I have sat on the B-Kings, but never did take one for a spin. Considering that I can pick up a brand new one for less than $9,000 ... I may have to consider them more seriously.

I checked out the Vmax tonight and posted about it here:

Not sure how this thread got so off topic. Must be because it is one of mine.
