If you go Lithium - IT MUST have LiFePO4 chemistry not just say Lithium-Ion. And ime - If you REALLY want to be sure you need cells made by A123Systems.Will look up the ssb lithium though
To give you some idea - the A123 2.5aH cells cost about 10€ each. And for an R3 you will need 16(4*4) or better still 20(5*4) cells.
Most M/C targeted batteries are 3*4. They will turn an R3 over with no issue - but if you're going to cough up - do it well. Starterbatterien
