Battery life over the winter

I put a trickle charger on both bikes and am ready to ride whenever.

Go to Walmart and for $15-20 bucks you can purchase an Everstart "floating" Battery tender. Thats the best bang for the buck. I run them on all my bikes for years.

I had to put a trickle charger on my VTX for the last couple of years as I tend to use more juice than the bike can produce... Too many watts in the passing lights! :?

My couple of months off the bike because of surgery had me worried that the Rocket would not start when I finally made it back out to the garage. Imagine my delight when the R3 fired right up! :lol:

I hook mine up to it's umbilical all year round - never had a problem.

Can't help...no excuse not to ride year round here so no battery problems 8)

If you absolutely must put her to bed for a while, hook her up to a Battery Tender. She'll be happy you did. Otherwise ride her as much as you can. You'll both be happier.
