Battery Discharge

Hi Everyone , I Have a 2010 rocket roadster which is causing me grief again , Its already had issues with engine light coming on and misfire which took triumph north east 4 weeks and 3 trips to them to fix , They said they was a short so the had to replace the main wiring loom , Its now got a new issue which is battery discharge while riding , Its a new battery and it stays charged fine when not in use but as soon as its been running for half an hour the battery is completely dead to the point that when I turned the main beam on it killed the engine , I'm having a nightmare with this bike and hope someone on here can point me in the right direction of what could be causing this or let me know if its a common fault before I go back to a jap bike

seems likely the alternator is not charging, if you've had a new loom sounds fishy - to check; start engine and run at 2000rpm, put a voltmeter across batt terminals - should be 14.2 volts, if its lower sounds like its not charging and you should start with verifying wiring to alternator given a new loom was fitted

Check your main 30amp fuse.if this is blown it will not charge the battery.yes a battery.will not last long without being charged.also check the small wire on the battery cable is connected.small black plug one on each cable..
